Art for the Animals....

This Saturday at 2pm, the Rockville Covered Bridge Gallery will have it's annual "Art for the Animals" event at the Rockville Gallery. There will be a silent auction, activities for children including face painting and special prizes, plus the best of all animals from the shelter to showcase what this event is all about. We have lots of new artwork featuring animals that will be for sale. I just finished a piece for this show (literally a few minutes ago). It's called "Misty Dawn" and is painting of a golden retriever that was our family pet. It will be at the gallery in the frame pictured (which is a King of Frames frame out of California). If you have a couple hours stop by and see what we have to offer. There will be donation jars in case you just want to help out.
I will be at the event for a few hours, but will leave to go to the gala at the Athens Arts gallery. It is the opening of the "Untitled Show", which I have a piece in. The gala runs from 6-8pm and has work from all over the U.S. From California to New York. This caliber of show is unheard for this part of Indiana. There will be 87 pieces in the show, half of which are 3D (sculptures and the like), the rest at 2D (paintings and photography). I am extremely honored to be part of this show. There will be gourmet appetizers, live music and a cash bar at the gala. Tickets are $50 and can be bought through the Athens Arts Gallery in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
